Why it exists
Mix the app, not its implementation details.
Desktop audio tools often expose individual nodes and helper processes. Fadrio is building the identity layer needed to keep those details out of the normal mixer experience.
PipeWire-native
A versioned native bridge observes playback nodes directly. Fadrio does not scrape shell-command output or require root access.
Built for control
The same logical mixer model is designed to serve the desktop UI, keyboard workflows, MIDI hardware, CLI, and future D-Bus clients.

Open alpha development
The qualified foundation is public. The product is still early.
Native discovery, application identity, multi-session grouping, volume and mute control, reconnect supervision, a diagnostic CLI, and a minimal desktop shell are in place. Packaging, persistence, broad game identity, MIDI control, and the finished interface remain on the roadmap.
The current GitHub alpha is a reproducible source snapshot with a SHA-256 checksum. It is intended for contributors and technical evaluation, not normal desktop installation.
